Because of limitations in the way Vim handles termguicolors, this means I end up having to manually set t_8f and t_8b values. The terminal in Tmux is set to screen-256-color.This leads me to believe it is not an issue with the theme, or with Tmux. I'm using the imgcat script and it works fine, but when I'm inside of tmux it does nothing. The theme always works in Neovim (v0.1.4), whether I run in Tmux or in iTerm directly. iTerm2 is able to display images within the terminal. Some additional details brought out from the comments below: Blank lines also render the background color correctly:Īs a final data point, I ran set termcap to dump the terminal settings and verified that everything matches between when I run Vim in iTerm vs when I run in Tmux. ![]() This is probably consistent with other similar questions I've seen. To my eye it looks like the text background color is rendering correctly, and the background color for blank lines renders correctly, but for some reason the background color past the end of the text renders incorrectly. Now the colors are pretty close, so it might be hard to see, but it's actually very jarring when I'm running full screen with split panes and lots of text. Everything looks as I expect:īut I end up with strange background issues when I run inside Tmux: apt-get install tmux 2 Start new tmux session using -CC option Using iTerm 2, log into the machine you want to work with. tmux tmux source code (by tmux) Suggest topics Source Code iterm2 By gitlab-gnachman Suggest topics Source Code InfluxDB - Access the most powerful time series database as a service SonarQube - Static code analysis for 29 languages. Here's what I see when I run Vim in iTerm2 directly. Compare tmux vs iterm2 and see what are their differences. To clarify, there are other questions already answered which address essentially the same problem I am experiencing, but none of the offered solutions ( ttyfast or set t_ut=) fix the issue for me unless I turn termguicolors off. You can copy the content in iTerm2 by holding 'Command' just as when tmux is. After this, the drag action is detected by iTerm2 directly. An alternative way: use tmux integration mode of iTerm2 by starting a tmux session with tmux -CC. Please give it a thumbs up if you'd like it. Posting here to get a sense of how useful this would be. The most likely way we would support this is through tmux's control mode feature, like iTerm, where it would integrate with split panes. ![]() ![]() As far as my setup is concerned, I'm running Tmux 2.2 (with true color support enabled) inside iTerm2 version 3 on a Mac. Within tmux, the copy action is handled by tmux, and tmux doesn't support this multi-copy feature. Right now blocks and input don't work within tmux sessions.
